Research

The Laboratory CADEMA (Computer-Aided Design of ElectroMagnetic Apparatuses) carries out research and technology transfer activities within the specialization profile of the Piedmontese industrial framework in Mechatronics. We mainly focus on the modelling and experimental analysis of electromagnetic and electromechanical devices, systems, components and materials for electrical engineering.

The common thread is rooted in applied electromagnetism, CAD optimization methods and experimental electromagnetic analysis and testing. Examples of research topics are wireless charging systems, power electronics magnetic devices, energy harvesting, magnetic non-destructive testing, exposure to electromagnetic fields, DC and industrial frequency shielding, induction heating.
